The Religious Education (RE) curriculum at New Earswick Primary school is delivered through a variety of sessions.
Discrete RE lessons are taught across the year. Each topic has a theme which is set out in our long term plan. Each topic builds on the knowledge of religion acquired in previous lessons. As well as teaching the knowledge of religions and faiths, our curriculum promotes and develops the skills needed to engage in learning. Our RE curriculum requires learners to know, retell, talk and listen, debate and discuss and reflect so that our pupils have the capacity to consider the world from different contexts and cultures.
